We are currently involved in three major projects:
A pilot to test an alternative Distance Education model for INSET and Professional Development requested by the DG of Education in the Western Cape, based on the internationally successful Perinatal Education Programme (PEP) for mid-wives and perinatal nurses.
This project is based in and has recruited volunteer teachers from five schools in Barrydale in the Little Karoo.
A pilot to test the viability of using e-readers to promote reading and writing in Grade 2, in partnership with PRAESA (using the Nal’ibali reading for enjoyment programme) and St Georges Prep School in Cape Town.
Work in progress, an open source model, Twelve Steps Towards Good Practice, for introducing digitization into the school system and FET colleges which can be presented in a workshop consisting of four modules.
